Starz Dance Academy hosts its Annual Recital every May. The shows feature dancers from ALL of our classes and competitive teams. This annual event is held at the state-of-the-art Muskego High School Performing Arts Center and is truly the highlight of our whole year.

We are thrilled you are joining us for the annual recital. This is a production like none other and sure to impress!

On Stage Rehearsal: Friday May 15th (Times TBD)
Solo Show: Friday May 15th at 7:00pm
Class and Team Shows: Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th
2020 Recital Picture Week
This year’s Recital Picture weeks will be during class or practice the week of May 4th-10th, 2020.
All pictures will be done DURING students class/practice times. They should come in their costumes with hair and make up done (please make sure they have all costume pieces including tights, shoes, poms, hair accessories, etc.).
All dancers should bring a set of clothes to change into after pictures.
Order form will be handed out in class PRIOR to picture week. Please follow directions on form and send with your daughter to pictures.
Pictures will be taken on a “Closed Set.” This means no parents or spectators will be allowed back by our photographer. This helps us move quickly and professionally through the picture taking process.
2020 Ticket Sales
Tickets go on sale Monday April 20th, 2020 at 10am
This year we are excited to be able to offer convenient ONLINE TICKETING with assigned seating! You will be able to pick, purchase and print all tickets for the recital from our online ticketing service.
Not all dancers are in every show. Please be sure to check the paperwork you picked up from the office for show assignments.
Children will need tickets if they will be sitting in their own seats. If they will be sitting on a lap, they do not need a ticket.
We do expect shows ALL SHOWS TO SELL OUT, so be sure to get your tickets right away for the best seats!
Annual Recital FAQ’s
1. Question: Will my dancer be participating in the Recital?
Yes! Each of our classes will be participating in the recital (exception Tumbling and Technique Classes)
2. Question: How many shows are there?
To accommodate all of our dancers and their adoring fans, we run up to 6 or 7 shows. Each class is assigned to one show. What for recital assignments to know your dancer’s show day on time.
3. Question: When is the recital?
Recital Weekend is May 18th-May 19th with an onstage rehearsal on Friday May 17th (slotted from 4-6:30pm)
4. Question: Where is the Recital held?
Shows are held at Muskego High School Performing Arts Auditorium.
5. Question: How long are the shows?
Shows are approximately 1.5 hours in length, with the exception of our PreSchool Premiere Show which is a shorter convenient show for all of our tiniest dancers.
6. Question: How do we purchase tickets for the show? Do we choose our seats?
We are thrilled to be able to offer convenient online ticket sales in which you can PICK your seats. BUY TICKETS
7. Question: Is handicapped seating available?
Yes! Contact the office directly to purchase Handicap seating. Handicap seating is an open seat slot intended for a wheelchair. If they do not have a wheelchair, there are plenty of easily accessible seats on the aisles that you can purchase right on the ticketing website.
8. Question: This is our first recital, how will we know what to do with her hair, shoes, etc?
Don’t worry! We send out easy to follow instructions to make recital weekend stress free and fun for you and your dancer!
9. Question: Does my dancer that is in the show need a ticket/seat for the recital?
No, dancers stay backstage with our staff and join us back on stage for our big finale. They will be dismissed to you afterwards.
