Dance Academy
Kate Fabbri brings 25 years of dance and teaching experience to Starz Dance Academy. She began her extensive training in dance at a well known and competitive Wisconsin Dance Studio. Since her 15 year studio education, Kate went on to dance for Oak Creek High School’s award winning varsity dance team, the Loyola Univerisity Chicago dance team, Badgerette Staff, and Wisconsin Professional Dance (the official dance team for the Milwaukee Brewers). Throughout her dance career, Kate has won numerous awards for her outstanding talent and ability and been a part of several dance tours that traveled to Florida, Chicago, and New York.
Kate graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2008 with her Bachelors degree in both International Business and Marketing. In 2010, Kate realized a dream of opening Starz Dance Academy with her dear friend, Rachel Troyer.
In addition to choreographing and coaching all of the award winning competitive teams at Starz Dance Academy, Kate also coaches and choreographs for several other area programs including a Division 1 High School Varisty Team (since 2007), St Mary’s Middle School Dance Team (Since 2009), and began the middle school dance program in Muskego for the Junior Warriors (2012).
Kate believes in educating the whole person, not just the dancer. She helps her students develop their leadership skills, confidence, character, and interpersonal skills while receiving a superior dance education. She is passionate about dance and positively impacting as many lives as possible.
Josie earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Josie danced for Wisconsin Professional Dance for 5 years where she was on dance teams for the Brewers (MLB), the Admirals (NHL), and the Wave (MLS). Josie, with her business partner Kate Fabbri, opened a freelance choreography business in 2008. Together they have choreographed 9 award winning routines, including an award for “Best Routine Choreography” at the National level, and have been asked to teach and speak at several clinics/conferences. In her spare time, Josie continues to dance in several different musical theaters. She currently teaches at several studios in Southeastern Wisconsin and is a third year head coach of a varsity dance team.
Buzzy is going on his 9th year of teaching hip hop and coaching and began his dance teaching experience at Midwest Edge Dance Academy in Aurora, Illinois. From there, he began to share his love of dance and hip-hop at Carthage College where he founded Iluzion Hip Hop Company, a team that performs at halftime of the Carthage College Men’s and Women’s Basketball Games. In addition to currently performing, he also has taught at a number of different studios and workshops for students ages 4-22yrs.
Buzzy is graduate of Carthage College with a degree in exercise sports science, physical education, and a minor in healt. He also holds his Masters Degree in Education and is currently a Physical Education Teacher at a Wisconsin School. In his spare time, he also is heavily involved in the world of Track and Field, by not only coaching at the college level but also as a professional competitor himself.

Rachel
Rachel brings 35 years of coaching and dance experience to Starz Dance Academy. She danced for 16 years at Allegro Academy of Dance & Gymnastics and was a member of their dance troupe where she toured and performed for 3 years. Rachel attended Nathan Hale High School in West Allis where she was a member of their award winning varsity dance team.
Rachel has a passion for working with children and she holds her Early Childhood Education Certifications. As the Youth & Teen Program Director for 10 years at the Southwest YMCA, she developed and instructed their dance program along with other youth fitness and day camps. For the next 14 years, she worked as the manager of a gymnastics club where she helped to develop and coach Wisconsin’s largest All Star pom dance team. Since 2007, she has been the head coach of an area High School Varisty Dance Team who have since qualified for State the last 8 years and running. In addition, Rachel and Kate began the Muskego Youth Dance Team Program in 2012, which gives Muskego Middle Schoolers the opportunity to dance for their Football Teams.
Her goal is to reach as many young girls lives through the art of dance as possible. She believes that dance builds self confidence and character, both skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

Emily Navarrette has been a part of the dance community for the last 19 years. She danced for Starz Dance Academy in middle school and early high school, and now has the privilege to be an instructor at Starz for the last 6 years. Emily also comes from a strong gymnastics background where she trained for 8 years at a local gymnastics center. She went on to attended Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, and was captain of their award winning Varsity Dance Team. After high school, Emily was a part of The University of Wisconsin Whitewater’s Dance Team for all 4 years. Emily has won numerous awards for her talents and had the opportunity in many different states throughout her dance career.
Emily graduated from Whitewater in 2019 with a Bachelors of Arts in Public Relations, and a double minor in Advertising and Dance. She currently runs Starz Special Events and Birthday Party Program.
Since 2018, Emily has been a coach of an area High School Varsity Dance Team. She has also become the Head Coordinator of the Muskego Youth Dance Team Program. In addition to her coaching experience, she has been a choreographer for several different teams since graduating high school, including several D1 and D3 high school Varsity Dance Team, All Star Competition routines, and solos.
Emily is committed to not only teaching great dance, but how to be a great person. She wants them to find leadership, joy, and friendships that will last a lifetime; which Starz has done for her.
